Tim & Liv Lyons, WA’s leading (only) father and daughter hammer throwing combination are keen for others to experience what is described as “the most satisfying athletics event”. The Club now has a range of training hammers available designed to allow throwing from the main discus cage at McGillivray without damaging the turf…or people. If you are in the 14-56 yo age bracket , you’ve always wondered what it was like and wanted to have a go but didn’t know how to go about it, now is your chance.Get on down to McGillivray each Wednesday from 5.30 to 6.30pm on 16, 23 and 30 January and 6 and 13 February 2019 and check it out. All gear is supplied and you will be strictly supervised. Just email secretary@uwaac.com.au the day before and let us know you are coming. Who knows this just might be your event!
