We are holding a special event on the Friday, 21st January 2022 starting at 5.00pm. The aim of the event is to be fun, exciting and an opportunity for all athletes to set a PB.
Named after our major sponsor, the Robert Walters Gift will have medals on offer for both a 120m sprint handicapped race, and a middle distance race across the age groups. The handicapping will go from 120m to 70m – younger athletes may have a 50m head start! It is sure to be exciting to watch!
In a first for UWALAC we will be using athlete’s current 100m sprint PB time to handicap races in three groups (U7-9, U10-12, U13-17) with separate girls and boys races to get down to a semi-final and final – where we will combine 4 girls and 4 boys. The winners will receive medals Remember, the races are handicapped so everyone has a chance!
For those athletes who prefer a longer race, we will be holding the following separate races for girls and boys:
- 400m for U6
- 1000m for U7-8
- 1500m for U9-10
- 2000m for U11-12
- 3000m for U13+
Records count! Medals will be awarded for each separate age-group and gender. It is a great chance for athletes to compete in our winter cross country distances.
Remember, the aim of the evening will be to have fun, and to compete in a different type of event.
To ensure we can marshal and coordinate the handicaps for the 120m sprint, you will need to nominate your athlete by 10pm January 19th
The Robert Walters Gift will be the only event at UWALAC on that weekend.

Parent Roster
There is no official parent roster on the night however we may need some volunteers on the long track to help with the recording. Any volunteers please email contact@uwalac.com
Anyone that can help with set up please come down at 4pm -it is only a few tents and the gates to be set up.
The canteen and coffee van will be on site and it should be a fun night! There will be no sausage sizzle on the night.
