Zone 4 Nitro Special Event
On Saturday, 23 November, Joondalup will again be hosting the exciting Zone 4 Nitro competition for our U14+ age groups.
This will be the third year of the event, which combines the talent from across our 14-17 age groups to put a team of athletes competing in a variety of events to be awarded points which tally to determine the winning centre. UWA will be competing against Hamersley, Joondalup and Ridgewood. Last year UWA finished 20 points short of Hamersley in what was a very tight and fun competition.
This year there will be two bonus point events – where teams nominate two events prior in which they double their points. So this is clearly a tactical decision!
For the HJ event, this year there will be two teams from each centre (2 x 1g/1b) with the combined heights of each team being the determining factor!
While this is aimed at the U14+ age groups, there is plenty on offer for the younger siblings – including a bouncy castle, face painter and refreshments.
We will also have a roving commentator (our own Travis Jenkins, u10 assistant coach, and AWA commentator) and DJ to add to the fun atmosphere.
